Company · founded in 1996

Technology became a passion. Passion became a business area.

AB NETCOM A. Breig was founded by Andreas Breig in 1996. In 2018/2019, he began an intensive focus on photovoltaics, components, planning and economic viability. He could not let the subject go: personal interest developed into in-depth expertise, which became a professional focus and ultimately an independent business area.

Motivation and expansion target

Net zero is built in terawatt-hours. We deliver the watts per module.

Switzerland has committed to net zero by 2050 under the Climate and Innovation Act. The Electricity Act sets binding targets for this: at least 35 TWh of electricity from new renewable sources by 2035 and 45 TWh by 2050 – excluding hydropower. Germany’s EEG sets targets of 215 GW of photovoltaics by 2030 and 400 GW by 2040.

13,7 %
Share of photovoltaics in Swiss electricity consumption in 2025 – just under 8 TWh
9.5 GW
Installed PV capacity in Switzerland at the end of 2025
40–50 %
Winter share of alpine solar plants – compared with 10–35 % in the Swiss Plateau
+70 %
Increase in newly installed battery storage in 2025 to 490 MWh

The bottleneck is not the module price

What is holding back expansion is the availability of space, installation hours, grid connections and permits. Every additional watt per module means more installed capacity per installation step, per transport, per square metre and per grid connection point. Large-format high-power modules are therefore not a niche product, but one of the most effective levers for reaching the target faster with the same resources.

Winter electricity is decisive

The Electricity Act requires at least 6 TWh of additional generation from large hydroelectric, solar and wind plants by 2040 – including 2 TWh that are reliably available in winter. Alpine and highland plants generate electricity precisely when the Swiss Plateau is under fog. This requires modules, frames and mounting structures that can withstand snow, hail and temperature fluctuations over the long term. This is precisely what AB NETCOM works on.

For me, photovoltaics is not just a matter of conviction, but a calculation that adds up – technically, economically and across generations. My goal is for large-scale projects to be built more quickly and safely with the right components.

What drives us

Energy projects must be technically sound, economically viable and practical to implement. That is why AB NETCOM considers more than just power classes and prices. Site conditions, documentation, installation requirements, supply availability, interfaces and subsequent operation are equally important.

Current role

System, procurement and project partner for photovoltaic, storage and combined system projects – implemented by qualified specialist partners.

What project partners receive

  • Technical pre-selection: Modules and storage matched to the site, grid and load profile, yield target, logistics and required documentation
  • Procurement basis: Product documentation, power classes, quantities, possible delivery windows and commercial prerequisites
  • Coordinated interfaces: early involvement of suitable planning, EPC, installation and specialist partners
  • Personal support: a German-speaking contact for the agreed project phases and a structured handover
  • Data ownership for storage: Control layer with hosting in Switzerland as an option for operators with heightened requirements

Official distribution

AB NETCOM is the official distributor of Risen Energy for Germany and Switzerland.

Project partners receive a German-speaking contact for product selection, technical documentation, project-specific procurement and coordination with qualified specialist partners – for modules and storage systems from a single source.

Planning, substructure, installation, electrical implementation and commissioning are organised for each project with qualified specialist partners. Roles, responsibilities and contractual relationships are clearly defined for each project.

Our role in the project

  1. Selection

Modules, storage systems and system components technically preselected

  2. Procurement

Quantities, documentation, delivery windows and commercial framework conditions

  3. Coordination

Specialist partners for planning, installation, electrical implementation and storage integration

The aim: not as many individual products as possible, but a coherent project solution – technically suitable, commercially transparent and with clearly defined interfaces.

Projects sought

From the project approach to the next step

AB NETCOM is seeking project developers, EPCs, energy utilities, planners, operators, industrial customers, installation partners and storage integrators in Switzerland and Germany with suitable pilot, reference or follow-on projects for photovoltaics, storage or combined system solutions.

Starting point: the 20-minuteProject check

Site, grid, load profile, yield target and schedule – ultimately, an assessment of whether and how AB NETCOM can contribute to the project. No obligation and no flood of documents.

Request a project check

The project journey

Four steps from the initial discussion to delivery

  1. Project intake

Record the site, target size, schedule, grid or load profile and technical framework conditions.

  2. Preliminary solution assessment

Clarify module and storage options, documentation, quantities, logistics, supply availability and implementation partners.

  3. Document project intent

Following a positive technical and commercial preliminary assessment, assumptions and next steps can be documented in a non-binding expression of interest or Letter of Intent.

  4. Develop the project

Reservation, pre-order or supply agreement will only take place on the basis of a separate written quotation with the scope, market release, availability, price, delivery time and contractual conditions clarified. Thereafter: schedule tracking, delivery support and documentation throughout the project.

What we do not promise

  • no blanket cost commitments without a layout, bill of materials and site data
  • no yield guarantees without irradiance and shading analysis
  • no commitments regarding certificates that are not yet available
